William Clarence "Bill" Hamilton Jr.

Updated: Dec 16, 2021

My Maternal grandfather, "Pop".

My Pop, one of the smartest men that I have ever known. I'm happy to have many great memories of him from my childhood.

Bill was born November 26th 1941, in Columbus, Georgia. The oldest Son of William Clarence Hamilton, and Eleanor Rose Revell, who had 3 other children. William and Eleanor had a baby by the name Ronney Glen Hamilton in 1944, he passed away shortly after being born.

Bill married his wife, Gloria Perry on August 6th, 1960 shortly after they graduated high school at Jordan Vocational High School. Bill and Glory had 5 children in 15 years, 3 boys and 2 girls.

Bill served in the US Navy for many years then later worked in Civil Service. He was also a professor at Dyersburg State for several years.

His passing in 2018 brought much sadness to the many who loved and respected him. He left behind a legacy of family that appreciates the bond of our Hamilton heritage.
