Support your genealogists.

Updated: Jan 7

Genealogy is hard work, and even harder without the support and encouragement from your family members. Whether you don't have a relationship with your family, you don't know your biological family, or your family simply isn't interested, genealogy is still so important in many different ways.

Why is genealogy important?

Memories become fragmented over time, you won't always have family members to tell you the stories of your ancestors. Genealogy can give you the great knowledge of where you come from. "If you don't know your family's history, then you don't know anything." - Michael Crichton

I speak from experience when I say its hard to get motivated in your research without the support of your family, please remember to never give up, keep going and remember why you started.

If you are out there, and you have a family member who is trying to educate you on your family's history, listen to them, support them, encourage them! Genealogy IS important.
